RARA-AVIS: Lou Reed question

'New Age' -- when performed live by Reed in about 1970 -- was a tilt at
NY icons Frank and Nancy [Sinatra].

Michael Wren's _Lou Reed: Between the Lines_ quotes Reed on 'New Age':
'[It] was supposed to be funny, a girl thinking she was like a movie
queen and the guy down the block was Robert Mitchum.'

There's no specific mention of 'New Age' in the best Reed book, _Lou
Reed: the biography_ by Victor Bockris.
