you really should try Ruth Rendell's Live Flesh for starters.

please can we include serial-killer novels in future on the
assumption that
all unhappy FBI profilers are unhappy in different ways? Gee,
it would be so
much FUN! Just bought I Was Dora Suarez and can't wait to read
it, but gotta
get my nails done first.
