The loner dealing with familial ties is much of the appeal of
the last
three Hoke Mosleys, as he is forced to deal with family both
real (his
two daughters) and adopted/forced upon (his Latina partner
whose name
escapes me at the moment). Of course, Grimhaven shows the flip
side of
the quotient.
