Actually there is one, called the "The Adventure of the Blanched
Soldier" written (I believe) in 1926, where Holmes himself takes pen in
hand and "writes" one of the stories. In it he "praises" Watson for his
dim-wittedness. It's been quite awhile since I read it, but I don't think
the style was drastically different from the other stories written by
Watson, just an attempt at being a little more technical.
