Men and men are different as well. There isn't any feminine viewpoint
or masculine viewpoint. It's not PC bullshit that even the men on this
list don't share a single brain. It seems pretty clear to me from
reading the posts. I don't think that hardboiled can be equated with a
male point of view. Certinly there are men that write cozies and other
non-hardboiled books are they missing the hard-boild gene, or what is
going on there? Where on the x chromosome is that hardboiled gene,
anyway? <g>

There are more differences between men and between women than there are
diferences between averave men and women. That is for both
psycological and physical differences. I also think that applies to
writing styles.

If a male writes in a hardboiled style with a woman protagonist, would
this be considered hardboiled, or how about a woman writing hardboiled
using a male pseudonym with a male protagonist. How different would it
be if you thought the writer male or female.

What a boring world it would be if all men were the same and all women
were the same. Let's celebrate our differences. Of course I see that
that is almost what Anthony said, and I realize that he was just
pulling our leg and trying to get a reaction. It's obvious he knows
better.
