Some thoughts on hard boiled music (if it's not too off
topic)..
Tom Waits' stuff from the 80's and 90's seems to have a
pretty hard boiled
feel.. I especially think of "Frank's Wild Years"

Lately bands like "Portishead" have been doing great stuff
