Vintage New Media has some of Powell's work available online
as
downloadable files. There is a fee. The URL is
http://www.vintagelibrary.com/
By the way, Powell has an Email address. Unfortunately, I'm
not sure what
it is. I think someone may have posted this to the list
previously, so a
check through the archives might be worth while.
<<I enjoyed the posts about con-game books. Maybe we
could convince one
of our website managers--Kevin Smith or Bill Denton--to do
some
bibliographies based on subgenres (e.g., con games, capers,
carney
novels).>>
I always liked the Rockford TV series and the way Rockford
was frequently
on the fringe or deeply involved in some sort of con. Is
there a good
non-fiction book about cons -- names, definitions and
descriptions of the
various type of cons? --Duane
