Well, Doug, my site is more slanted towards private eyes, although I was
thinking of adding a trivia list of Private Eye/Con Artists, such as Jim
Rockford, TenSpeed (from Tenspeed & Brownshoe) and the like (that Stephen
J. Cannell sure do like dem conmen!), but I can't really think of many
more. Maybe I need more coffee....

I like a good con, actually. Just a while ago I finished King Con, by
Cannell, and I rather liked it. Got a bit bumpy at the end, but overall the
ride was a blast. And 32 Cadillacs by Joe Gores certainly has a few cons
going on...and didn't Travis McGee run a few scams?

As far as I know, Mario, An Easy Thing (1990), Some Clouds (1992), No Happy
Ending (1993), Shadow of a Shadow, and Return to the Same City (1996)
all been translated into English, and published by Penguin. They're pretty
readily available up here in Canada. Maybe it's one of those "For
copyright reasons, this book is not to be sold in the United States"-type
things.
