RARA-AVIS: Leonard movies

Mark Sullivan (ANONYMEINC@webtv.net)
Wed, 5 Aug 1998 18:14:03 -0400 (EDT) Leonard has been better served lately. I haven't seen Mr. Majestyk, but
I did like the other movies Kevin Smith named. Plus, I'm beginning to
think I'm the only person in the world who liked the movie version of
Touch--it was so nice to see Christopher Walken act again in that (and
in Suicide Kings), instead of his ever increasing overacting, which,
admittedly, can be great fun (like in the totally over the top Wild
Side). Still, the 5 movies Kevin names are far less than half of the
Leonard adaptations, plus three have been in the last few years. There
is a long track string of bad movies. I mean, how can you screw up Cat
Chaser or Stick? But they did.

ps--I also enjoyed the explanation of the blasts in the distance, plus
as much as I like old Mustangs, the last thing we need is another
character on TV driving one. You're also right that nothing which
contains Booker T can be all bad.
