"Pulp" is a general term that covers a lot of authors, styles, and
themes. The term by no means excludes "major" authors. From what I hear,
Willeford did not think of himself as a lousy writer...

By the way, as temporary Raravisburg co-chief of police while Bill is
away, I have to remind the population, especially those who are new to
the list, that flames are simply not allowed here. Obvious trolls and
personal attacks that are almost sure to lead to flames receive a stern
warning.
