be the definitive Parker. I would say that Mel Gibson has his work cut
out for him in equalling Marvin, but I doubt most people seeing the new
film will know the first one for comparison.

Although a much slighter film, The Outfit starring Robert Duvall as
Parker is a pretty enjoyable caper flick.

I know they have made films of the Seventh (The Split, with Jim Brown as
Parker), the Jugger (Godard's Made in USA which was discussed recently)
and Slayground, but I haven't seen any of those. I've heard bad things
about the Split, but are the others any good? Anybody know?
