RARA-AVIS: Movie Industry Wimps?

Shane Liebling (shane@rescomp.berkeley.edu)
Wed, 29 Jul 1998 17:03:16 -0700 (PDT) Mark, I don't think that the movie industry was wussing out. During the
Red Scare, it was the industry itself that came up with the Blacklist in
order to take the power away from the government to police it, putting it
squarely in the hands of the industry. I think that this can also be seen
in the Hays Office.
