article about the Italian heist in which Pollack was interviewed about
his book that seemd to inspire it. He claimed that he bought the plans
for the caper in "Loophole" from a retied bank robber who was now too
old to pull off the job. He supposedly sold it to Pollack for a cut of
the book (I hope he got gross points, not net).

By the way, Black Echo was my favorite Connely also.
