for this list but Kurland writes THE GRILS WITH THE HIGH HEELED SHOES
and TOO SOON DEAD, about Broadway in the 1930's. The narrator is Brass's
assistant and Brass is a columnist who writes about Broadway doings and
happenings. To me, it reflected the flavor of the times and the
narration, being first person, captures the language and style of the
times.
