Japanese manga have a lot of hardboiled protaganists and
series. The
formentioned Sonada did a one off anime called "Riding Bean"
about a tough
no non-sense driver. There was one graphic novel called
"Hotel Haborview"
that is filled with short HB stories. These are more prosaic
stories then
the previously mentioned stories dealing more with the
Yakusa. I like these
graphic presentations of HB better then the "Sin City"
stories. The "Sin
City" series is much more opaque.
