Whereas I agree that Montreal is a beautiful and eclectic city,
I think
you're giving Hollywood too much credit. They film so much in
Montrel
and Toronto because it's cheaper than filming in the US. Alan
Rudolph's
past few films were shot there, but only in the last,
Afterglow, was
Montreal actually called Montreal.
