Speaking of Charyn, does everybody know that he wrote a
four-part
serialized original digest comic book a few years ago for
Paradox Press
(a subsidiary of DC-Warner Bros)? So did Tom DeHaven and Joel
Rose
(Author of Faster Faster Kill Kill, or vice versa). I forget
the titles
and the books are in a box at the bottom of a pile, but I
know that at
least the DeHaven one (which I'm pretty sure was called
"Green Candles")
was collected into one volume and sold as a trade
paperback.
I think someone noted some time ago the comic adaptations of
Paul
Auster's City of Glass and Barry Gifford's Perdita Durango in
a trde
paperback line edited by Art Speigelman. It was supposed to
continue
with Nigthmare Alley among others, but I never saw any more.
Did any
come out?
If anyone wants the info on the Paradox Press stuff, let me
know and
I'll dig out the box.

A quick trip through a bookstore last night brought to light
a couple of
books I thought might interest a few people on the
list.
Jerome Charyn has a new novel out. Apparently not part of the
Isaac series.
Barry Gifford has a new novel out.
