Does one of these titles involve a disabled person and a dog?

On Stone: I am waiting for someone to forcefully convince me to read on
in A Long Reach. If not, would I be better served going back to the
first novel? I'm about eight chapters in and, like Bill, I find it
oddly low-key. I shut the book last night when I read comparisons of
Streeter's and Linda's (?) golf swings.
