Thu, 21 May 1998 15:27:41 -0500 (CDT) Daniel mentioned the "Fallen Angels" series, which featured plays based on
noir fiction. I haven't see this Showtime series, but folks might be
interested in the nice paperback anthology published by Grove Press, with a
preface by Ellroy. Contains some pictures, teleplays, cast info, and
original short stories, contents listed below:

Fallen Angels: Six Noir Tales Told For Television (1993)

Raymond Chandler, "I'll Be Waiting"
Jim Thompson, "The Frightening Frammis"
William Campbell Gault, "Dead-End for Delia"
Cornell Woolrich, "Murder, Obliquely"
Jonathan Craig, "The Quiet Room"
James Ellroy, "Since I Don't Have You"
