I think Womack's work gets very yuppie in some of his later novels. I haven't
read Murder Manual yet, but it's on my pile. One thing that bothers me in his
later stuff is the relationship with his significant other. A lot of text is
spent on the meals the two of them prepare for their get togethers. That
turned me off to Spenser and Susan and Elvis and his so. A lot of time spent
on boutique beers and wines, and wity wisecracks. Not enough angst for me I
guess.

Maybe the prob's with me.
