sure to be enjoyed by readers of this list is The Bogie Man, by John
Wagner, Alan Grant and Robin Smith. It collects two full-length stories
of Francis F. Clunie, an escaped mental patient from a Scottish loony
bin who thinks he's Humphrey Bogart, or more precisely, the sorta
private eyes that Bogie used to play. Part tribute/part spoof, all
wrapped up in a Scottish accent as thick as last week's oatmeal.

There's at least a few other, uncollected Bogie Man stories out there,
including a hilarious one in which he comes to the States to rescue Dan
Quayle from an assassination conspiracy (which, of course, is only in
his head).

I don't think anyone mentioned this one when we were talking about
parodies a while back. We should have. It's pretty funny stuff. Right up
there with Red Diamond and Sam Marlowe (The Man With Bogart's Face).
