While we have a thread going on French noir, I've always been curious as to
the reception of the "Delacorta" series of one-word titles featuring
Gorodish and Alba. I read a few, after doing an article on "Diva" (the
film), and they were sort of fun, helped me appreciate what Highsmith was
doing. But I wondered at the time whether I was reading a series that was
also popular and respected (among mystery readers) in France.
