I've yet to see a copy of the new _Pulp Culture_ (the
cheapest I've seen
it is at Barnes & Noble, at $27.96 with $5.95 shipping to
the UK).
[Incidentally, the same title is used by Woody Haupt, in a
study of
hardboiled fiction and the cold war, published by Serpent's
Tail.]
On the subject of pulp images, Geoffrey O'Brien's _Hardboiled
America_
was recently re-issued in an expanded edition by Da Capo
Press. My
