I really like Harvey's Charlie Resnick novels, and I enjoy the way he
describes music and uses it to enhance the reader's sense of the
characters. I read somewhere -- maybe on Harvey's Web site -- that one
reason he started the Resnick series was to have a place to write about
jazz in the way he wanted.--Duane
