I don=B4t know if you will accept Jerry Oster as one of the
hard-boiled a=
uthors or even know about him. I do very much. He=B4s writing
the Joe Cul=
len-series, placed in New York. Oster is a former journalist
who left New=
York when his alcoholismn was nearly overtaking him. He is
now living in=
North Carolina. All I know for now is that his books are
very hard to fi=
nd in the US, that he=B4s known only to a very small
community of readers=
and his next book will be published in Germany where he has
a big audien=
ce. Anyone who can tell me more about his reception in the
English area.
