the analytic detective story, perhaps because incorporates its own satire.
I liked Westlake's "The Ultimate Caper" in the _Murderous_Schemes_
anthology. I'm told by connoisseurs that the best comedic writer, merging
noir humor and Black Humor into seamless literature, is K. Friedman.

The Guy Noir compilation is a cassette.
