I hope this isn't OT. Although _The Ax_ isn't traditional
hard-boiled
detective fiction, and is set in suburbia, it's subject
matter and the
way it's handled qualifies it as HB, in my opinion.
And speaking of Westlake, what did everyone think of
_Comeback_?
