EQMM prints more p.i. stories these days than when Eleanor
Sullivan was the
editor in chief. Jeremiah Healy, Bill Pronzini, Marcia
Muller, Clark
Howard, Doug Allyn among others contribute good
stories.
Both EQMM and AHMM are published by Dell Magazines Inc, which
has nothing
to do with Bantam-Doubleday-Dell Group anymore. You should
find a copy in
Canada too. I "zubscribe" to the both magazines but I find a
copy (well, a
month old) at the overseas bookstore in Japan.
The latest issue of Hardboiled Magazine I have got is #23
(September 1997)
with "The Pickpocket" by Mickey Spillane (reprint), "You Were
Their Hope"
by Stephen Solomita and others. The editor is Gary Lovisi.
This is
