Oh, well...

Anyway, since it's Christmas, may I submit for your consideration a little
tale that originally appeared in the January 1972 issue of EQMM, and has
probably shown up in other places too. It's a DKA story, "File #6: Beyond
the Shadow", by Joe Gores, wherein Dan Kearney himself runs into the Ghost
of Ops Past on Christmas Eve. Sort of a Charles Dickens meets Dashiell
Hammett tale. Certainly not as hardboiled as Mongo's Back in Town, but a
pleasant little Christmas story, nonetheless. Definitely worth hunting down.
