By the way, you guys are sneaky. I seem to be re-reading bits
and pieces of
The Falcon, anyway. And no doubt it was youse guys that
convinced one of
the local stations to run the film this week. Looks like i'm
gonna be
Maltesed whether I want to or not!
What I was thinking, though, is that I'll dig up the three
Spade short
stories and re-read them. See if they're still as
disappointing as I
remember them. It can be a sort of sub-topic.
And, speaking of the Rara-Avis, the actual bird is supposedly
on display in
John's Grill, where Spade goes to eat in the book. Now that
should
definitely be on The Private Eye World Tour! Anyone from San
Francisco know
if it's still there?
