i assume that's the lot of pulp anywhere...they get thrown
out...
when i first arrived in michigan (mid 70's) i found many old
pulps in yard
sales and in bulk paper sales...and got almost complete
collections of jim
thompson's, horace mc coys' etc...etc...some in mint
condition...
when i was in french high school as a border, in the south west
where my
family lived, we would go to soccer team practice on thursday
afternoon, then
a few drinks and fussball at the Cafe du Commerce, then, on our
way back to
school for the deadline of 6pm, we would stop at the Maison de
la Presse, and
everyone in our group would buy one or two polars (including
San Antonio's,
of course)...and that supply would last us until the next
thursday at
least...once we were finished we would throw them out...
...of course i would love to have all of'em now...but...
