Dear Sirs:

I'm mailing this from Yokohama, Japan. I like hard boiled fictions.
Among others, I'm a fan of Hammett, Chandler, Spillane and Parker.

We, in Japan, have heard quite little about Spillane these days. In fact,
it's only 3 months before that I found he's still writing and issued last
year Black Alley in which Mike Hammer is still fine. Amazing, though we
have yet to have its Japanese version.

I'm interested in what he's doing now, where and how he is living. I
wonder if he had written before and after Black Alley and how Mike Hammer
has changed or not changed and if Velda is still with him. I'd be
grateful if you could tell me some information about him of recent days,
like the names of magizines and newspapers and the dates or versions of
their publication.

Thank you, hoping to hear soon.

T. Moto
