I believe they are THE BLACK DAHLIA, THE BIG NOWHERE, LA
CONFIDENTIAL,and WHITE JAZZ. I only read the first two, both of which were
exceptional. I seem to recall that they may be read in order of appearance
(as above) but that each also works as a stand alone, as they are only
loosely connected.
