RARA-AVIS: This World and then the Fireworks

I may be slightly off on the movie title (see Subject line).
Saw this movie
yesterday at the Roxie in San Francisco. It was based (I'm
told) on a Jim
Thompson story. I recommend this movie to the readers of this
list. Featured
actors include Billy Zane (co-Executive Producer and involved
in the
selection of the music in this film), Gina Gershon & Sheryl
Lee (of Twin
Peaks fame). The cinematography was a treat, the music was well
integrated
(gotta get ahold of the soundtrack ... Columbia Records) and
the editing was
crisp. If you're lucky to live in a city where this movie will
be
exhibited...see it. Otherwise, include it on your list of
videos to rent
(release date not yet available.
