giving an average value statement for the whole of it.
He is dealing with different genres, and I agree with Doug: his humor can be
offbeat, which should not be considered as a negative aspect of his work...
on the contrary.
And then you have these novels difficult to label, such as ' The Coffin
Things' - (1968), one of Avallone's achievements ( in my opinion).

Avallone wrote also under the name of Edwina Noone, one of his numerous aliases.
