RARA-AVIS: Re: Jerry Healy

DOUGLAS GREENE (dgg100f@hamlet.bal.odu.edu)
Tue, 5 Aug 1997 10:02:47 EST I am delighted (and honored) to be able to announce that next year,
Crippen & Landru will publish the first collection of
Rara-Avis contributor (and more to the point, excellent author) Jerry Healy's first short-story
collection. Tentative title is THE CONCISE CUDDY, or possibly THE
CUDDY CASEBOOK. John Francis Cuddy is one of the finest modern PI's,
combining noir sensibilities with tricky plotting.

Incidentally, we just sent our next book to press,
Michael Gilbert's THE MAN WHO HATED BANKS AND OTHER MYSTERIES. To my
susprise, I found the Michael has written some very tough
stories--we include 3 of them about rogue cop (and killer) Bill Mercer.

But enough promotion (though I prefer to call them
info-announcements); it's nice to be getting Rara-Avis again.
