According to BGSU's database, _Detective Short Stories_ was brought out by
Manvis Publishers of Chicago from August, 1937 through October, 1943. 
That's all I know at present--the d.b. says that the magazine is listed in
one of the standard pulp indices, so there's probably a complete printed
record of its contents.
