RARA-AVIS: Introduction
Stephen has sent a lot of interesting books written by British authors.
I recently read the following he mentioned:
>Philip Kerr: _March Violets_, _The Pale Companion_, _German Requiem_
>Set in Germany in the Nazi era.
Has anyone read these? They are *very* violent and tough, and
I second Stephen's recommendation.They involve a very individualist
German private eye who operates in the sleazy mileau of Nazi politics.
The last book has a background of THE THIRD MAN as it is about to be
filmed in Vienna after WWII.
