    I would definitely say that Hamilton is from the Hammett school. Truly hardboiled, no dilution of any kind. It's interesting to see him and Parker side by side, both trying to reach a goal and doing so methodically and professionally, but with all the instincts of a wild animal in place. Some of the shenanigans from the Cold War may sound quaint, but Helm does not, at least to me.
