    That is a solid novel too, about a burglar who becomes invisible. I will read anything Westlake writes - follow him on whatever journeys he wants to take - from SF to comedy, hard-boiled to crime. The man knows how to tell a story.

    There is also the strange novel _Smoke_. Westlake says that he wanted

    to write one novel that would be totally unlike anything else he'd

    done. I think he succeeded. A real chameleon of a writer.
