If you liked the movie In a Lonely Place, you really should check out
the book. At least as good, but very, very different. And much darker.
Coming to it as a fan of the movie (as well as the Smithereens song
inspired by it), I was quite surprised by how different it was. Of
course, it probably would have been hard to be truly faithfull under the
Production Code. Joe Breen would have found it far too smarmy.
