I don't think they are really all that bad, rather nice, I
should say, but they do make you think of a different age
than the sixties and the seventies. There's a mixture of the
fourties and fifties' more noirish world of cinema - and even
a touch of European surrealism (in the mirror of the cover of
THE GETAWAY FACE). I think the pistol is quite striking, and
if they stick to it throughout the series, it's pretty
good.
But they are not Hard Case Crime covers (or even the covers
of our paperbacks, ehem ehem). At least they don't look as
bad as Stark House books.
