Good point. I don't think that all ladies' men are alphas,
but Kirk is a Captain as well, so he's got the leadership
thing down. My only quibble would be that I tend to think of
extreme alphas as rather humorless. Steve McGarrett and Joe
Friday are completely humorless; I forget about Joe Mannix.
But James Kirk has a very good sense of humor, which
humanizes him in a way that seems a little off-alpha to
me.
