I recall reading Dagger of Flesh and enjoying it, though I
can't recall much from the plotline.

Rabe's work, at least for me, has an idiosyncratic style. I
haven't read either of these titles, but I've enjoyed the
ones I have recently read (The Box and Journey into
Terror).
