These were recently turned into a series on the Sci Fi
Channel. Must not have been a big hit, since it wasn't
renewed, but I liked them. Thanks for reminding me to check
out the books it was based on.
There was also a recent series called Blood Ties, based on a
series written by Tanya Huff. Not surprisingly, since it was
on Lifetime Channel, the show highlighted romance a bit more
than I normally care for, but the stories were pretty good.
Are the books also?
