**************************************************** Of
course I'm using hyperbole. Nonetheless, it's easy to see why
the underemployed in the US join gangs rather than work the
lousy jobs available to them. The gang life leads to prison,
another form of slavery. The court system is a bureaucracy so
extenuating circumstances do not apply. At the age of 22,
Charles Manson was sentenced to 10 years in prison for
stealing a $46 federal check. It was a FEDERAL check so the
maximum penalty applied. At least 7 lives would have been
saved if a program had been in place to re-educate and
re-introduce Manson to society. It would have been no more
expensive than keeping him in prison. Or maybe they should
have just killed him for the $46. Lives would have been saved
including those of the victims he conned into committing
murder none of whom are psychotic today.
