This is an odd phenomenon, given how the Gold Medal paperbacks loudly trumpet the (alleged) fact that none of them are reprints. I would be curious to know how many of ALL the Gold Medals were actually reprints.

I can think of four novels that were published first by Lion and then as

Gold Medals.

The Killer Inside Me - Jim Thompson The Peddler - Richard S. Prather (as Douglas Ring) The Lustful Ape - Bruno Fischer (as Russell Gray) Lie Down, Killer - Richard S. Prather

Can anyone think of any others?

Jeff
