Interface was reprinted in 2004 by Orion as part of the Crime
Masterworks series in the UK. That's what the cheap
paperbacks are. I'm curious about the original printing. It's

highly than a hardcover first edition. It makes me wonder if,
as you suggested, the print run was especially small, or it
came out in paperback first.
