Some time ago, I went through a period where a lot of what I
was reading or viewing dealt with end of the world scenarios.
Some of the more memorable ones: Fiskadoro by Denis Johnson,
a comic by Ted McKeever
(Metropol? his series after Eddy Current, not that that
didn't also have some apocalyptic overtones), Gaiman and
Pratchett's Good Omens, the movies Moonlight Mile and
Rapture, and two novels by Rudy Wurlitzer, Quake (not really
the apocalypse, but a very strange day's journey though
southern California after hte "Big One") and Flats.
