Just finished Fright by Cornell Woolrich and will be picking
up more Woolrich based on William and Jim's recommendations.
Am also rereading Paul Cain's Seven Slayers (which I do every
couple of years), and at the same time Joseph Finder's Power
Play, and my authors copy of Hot Blood #13 (to see if there
are any stories more vile than the one I contributed, and so
far, no). I've tossed a lot of books lately after 30 or so
pages--one benefit of running Hardluck Stories is I get a
free books sent to me without soliciting them--but a couple
that I liked a lot include Reasonable Doubts by Gianrico
Carofiglio and Dead Street by Mickey Spillane.
What I've been watching on DVD is the Max Fleischer Popeye
collection
('32-'38) which are amazing, and have waiting for me are
collections of EC Segar Popeye comic strips.
